Global Bot Announcements

Modr8 supports Global & Multi-Chat Features. This includes, the ability to send an announcement as a one-off broadcast or scheduled and on an interval. The same functionality you have in a single chat, we also have at the global bot level.

When you send a Bot Announcement, all of the chats activated under that bot will receive the notification. This is a great way for spreading news as well as uniformly issuing information out to all of your chats.

You can read more about our multi-chat and global features here, but hopefully this diagram helps to explain the setup too.

Any chat registered to the same bot can have global bot announcements sent to it

Multi-chat features are accessed using the "Bot Menu" as show in the image below.

How To Send A One-off Global Announcement

The instructions here are very similar to sending a one-off chat announcement with the main difference being you access bot level announcements via a different menu.

1. Login to the platform

2. Click "Manage" on your listed bot

3. Click "Bot Menu" to open up the bot level menu options

4. Click "Bot Announcements"

5. Select the "Create Announcement" button on the "One-off Announcement" card

6. Add your message content, utilising the formatting buttons available such as bold, italics and strike-through

7. Add any buttons you wish to be sent such as links, command buttons and action buttons by clicking the "Buttons" button.

8. If you have an Image you wish to send add a web-link to it ensuring it ends with .mp4, .png, .jpg or .gif

9. Elect whether you want the message to be pinned to the top of your chat once sent by enabling the "Pin Message" toggle

10. Click "Submit" and your message will be sent out to each of the chats your bot is activated in.

How To Send A Scheduled / Interval Based Global Announcement

Being able to send a scheduled / interval based announcement will allow you to continually issue content into all of your activated chats.

1. Login to the platform

2. Click "Manage" on your listed bot

3. Click "Bot Menu" to open up the bot level menu options

4. Click "Bot Announcements"

5. Select the "Manage Announcements" button on the "Interval & Scheduled Announcement" card.

6. Click "Create Announcement" on the "Interval & Scheduled Announcement" card.

To build out this announcement please follow the same instructions of the announcement builder found here. You will manage these announcements in the same way as your chat level announcements, with the only change being you access these through the "Bot Announcement" menu.

❓FAQ & Troubleshooting

The global announcement did not send to X chats

This can be due to a couple of reasons and it is worth checking the following:

• Your bot is an admin of the chat and has the ability to send messages

• You have an active subscription for the chat

• Your bot has not been rate limited for sending too many messages by Telegram. We attempt to manage this for you though!
