Advanced Features

Early / Beta / Preview functionality may start life in "Advanced Features" before being moved over to any of the standard modules. The following sections outline each of the functions available within the Advanced Features page and their usage.

Crypto Market Price Data

We support looking up price data for over 7500+ crypto trading pairs. This means you no longer need a separate price bot alongside your Modr8 community moderation bot. There are two options for message output, a full metric set showing price, volume and 24hr price changes OR a simplified output where only the price of the pair is displayed.

Within your group your users will be able to lookup market data using the following command formats:

/p btc
/p btc usdt
/p eth btc
Modr8 supports over 7500+ crypto trading pairs for quick lookup in your chat.

To enable crypto market data follow these steps:

  1. Select "Settings" on your chat profile

  2. Select "Edit" on the "Advanced Features" card

  3. Turn on"Enable Price Commands" toggle

  4. Decide if you want the full metric output or the shortened price only output using "Message Output Format"

  5. Click Save Changes

Once saved, you are able to then use the /p command in your chat.

Add Your Own Token Price Data

In addition to supporting over 7000 standard crypto price points, Modr8 now allows users to add their own custom token if it is available on Dex Screener. This feature is useful for tracking tokens that are not listed on centralized exchanges.

Add your dex based token to modr8 price data

To add a custom token:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Go to Advanced Settings.

  3. Ensure that Enable Price Commands is toggled on.

  4. Find your token on Dex Screener.

  5. Copy the full URL for your token and paste it into the Dex Screener Address input field.

  6. Add your token’s symbol in the Token Symbol field.

Once added, you can check the price of your custom token by using the /p command followed by your symbol. For example, if you set the symbol as "test," you would use /p test to retrieve your token's price data.
