Modr8 bot engine supports issuing native Telegram polls, quizzes and anonymous quizzes. Whilst it can be hard to track responses (including timestamps of responses given) via Telegram analytics the Modr8 platform offers full management via our Platform pages.
At present Modr8 can issue polls with the following features.
Up to 10 options for an answer
Ability to send as Quiz with selection of which of the 10 options is the right answer
Ability to issue the Quiz or Poll as anonymous so users who have responded are not shown on Telegram
Scheduled publishing of polls/quizzes
Scheduled closing of the polls/quizzes
To issue a poll or quiz then complete the following steps:
Select "Manage"
on your bot profile
Select "Polls"
on your chat profile
Select "Create"
button on the "Create A Poll or Quiz"
card
Provide a poll "Question"
which will be the main body of the poll. This is limited to 300 characters by Telegram.
Provide answer options, a minimum of 2 are allowed and a maximum of 10. To add more potential answers click the "Add More"
button
Elect to send the poll as a quiz by enabling the "Send As Quiz?"
toggle
Elect to allow users to provide multiple responses by enabling the "Multi-response?"
toggle. Note: You can not have a multi-response quiz. Telegram does not support this.
If you want users to record responses anonymous then enable the "Anonymous?"
toggle.
If you want to open and close the poll based on a schedule you can enable the "Enable Schedule?"
toggle
Set a "Schedule Publish"
date and time by clicking the calendar icon at the end of the input box
Set a "Schedule Closing"
date and time by clicking the calendar icon at the end of the input box
You can choose to "Publish Poll"
immediately or if you want to come back later you can click the "Save Draft"
button to re-edit it later
When a poll has been created, drafted or closed it will show up on the main poll management page. From here you can select to view responses, close the poll or edit drafts.
Within each of the sections below you will provide a brief overview of the functionality that is available on the poll management page dependent on the state that your poll is currently in.
Polls which are set in the draft state can be edited by any administrastor. Saving a poll as a draft is useful if you are planning to make changes at a later date.
If you have elected to issue your poll in the future, using the scheduled opening time you can make changes to the poll by clicking the "Edit"
button up to the moment it is published.
Once a poll has been published to your chat or channel you have the options to:
View the responses given in more detail including viewing the users and timestamps their vote was given
View the poll direct within your chat
End the poll and close it on Telegram. It will remain visible but chat users can no longer provide responses
Once a poll has been closed you can:
View responses to see the totals received for each poll option as well as timestamps and respondent data
View the poll by jumping to the message on your Telegram app/client
