Team Access

Modr8 allows you to add multiple users to our website in order to manage the bot settings and various chats.
Infact, you do not need to be an admin of the activated chat to be able to gain access to the platform. This can be useful if you have a content creator making your announcements but they do not want to be in your community chat as an admin. The following sections will discuss how to create an invite code as well as joining the team. We will also discuss a unique scenario available on Modr8 where you can have "Community Admins" who are able to be promoted as an admin in your chat, but are unable to execute any moderation commands. This is a great way to promote an "ambassador" without having to worry they ban or remove users from the chat.
The bot owner is able to generate a team access code, from there they can pass this on for others to join the team. The bot owner can also revoke the access code and remove team members when they wish.
Login to the Modr8 Platform
Click the "Manage"
button below your bot profile you wish to grant access to
Click the "Bot Menu"
button below your bot profile image
Select "Team Access"
Copy the Team Access Code and send it to your team mates
Login to the Modr8 Platform
Paste the team access code you have been given into the "Join A Team"
text box
Click the Join A Team
button
Your page will refresh and you will see the bot profile listed
Click the "Manage"
button below the bot profile to view chats to manage
Many large communities wish to offer ambassadors roles within Telegram and amend their "titles" to show they have some form of role or rank within the chat. This is often easily done on Discord but for Telegram the user must be an admin in order to receive a title.
It can be the case, that these "admins" should not have access to moderation commands. When promoting them to an admin you are able to remove their access rights, but they would still be able to execute Modr8 moderation commands such as /ban /mute /warn etc.
Unique to Modr8 we are able to mirror the Admin level permissions set in Telegram to the scope of permissions they can execute when it comes to moderation commands. This means, if you do not allow the admin to "ban users" from your chat, then the command /ban and /kick will no longer execute for them.
To turn this setting on in Modr8 complete the following steps.
Login to the Modr8 Platform
Click the "Manage"
button below your bot profile
Click "Settings"
button for the chat you wish administrator actions to be mirrored
Select the "Edit"
button on the "Advanced Settings"
Card
Enable "Restrict Command Access"
Click "Save Changes"
Based on this setting being enabled, whenever you amend an administrators permission levels in your Telegram chat the bot will alter the permissions of what commands the user can access with the bot.
Pin messages disabled - Admin can not use /pin and /unpin commands
Ban chat members - Admin can not use /ban /kick /warn commands
Delete chat messages - Admin can not use /purge command
Change chat info - Admin can not /silence or /unsilence chat
